Chevrolet is offering 0% APR for 60 months on the 2026 Silverado 1500 through November 4, 2026, for well-qualified buyers who finance through GM Financial. Chevrolet's example is $16.67 a month for every $1,000 financed, and the first payment can wait 92 days. The alternative is cash, which Chevrolet says does not combine with the special rate.
How much cash depends on which Chevrolet page you read. The offers page lists Customer Cash of $4,250 with the 5.3L V8, $2,250 with the 6.2L V8 or the 3.0L Duramax diesel, and $1,500 on the LT with the 2.7L TurboMax. Chevrolet's Build & Price adds Bonus Cash the offers page doesn't show. On the cheapest build of every trim and engine we priced, at a San Diego County ZIP and a San Francisco ZIP, the cash came to $6,500 with the 5.3L, $5,250 with the 6.2L or the diesel, and $3,500 with the TurboMax ($2,500 on the WT), and Build & Price put the TurboMax's Customer Cash at $1,250. Of the TurboMax's cash, $1,000 is Select Market Purchase Bonus Cash, which Chevrolet says carries residential restrictions. Build & Price pairs none of the Bonus Cash with the 0%.
Other Chevrolet programs may also apply, including those for first responders, military and educators. Each sets its own terms on what it combines with.
Chevrolet has shown a redesigned 2027 Silverado 1500, with new V8s and a new interior, and expects it to go on sale at the end of 2026. The 2026 is the last model year of this generation, and it is the one carrying the rate.
| Engine | Cash on Build & Price, instead of 0% | 0% costs less unless you can borrow below, at $45,000 / $55,000 / $65,000 financed |
|---|---|---|
| 5.3L V8 | $6,500 | 6.3% / 5.0% / 4.2% |
| 6.2L V8 or 3.0L diesel | $5,250 | 4.9% / 4.0% / 3.3% |
| 2.7L TurboMax | $3,500 | 3.2% / 2.6% / 2.2% |
That is our arithmetic on Chevrolet's terms, financing the full amount over 60 months, with each line rounded down. Experian's Q2 2026 data puts the average new-car rate at 4.41% for super prime borrowers and 6.15% for prime. On the TurboMax, 0% costs less at both averages unless less than about $33,600 is financed. On the 6.2L and the diesel the line is about $50,400 at the super prime average, and the least expensive of those trucks is $54,040 in Build & Price, so 0% wins for a buyer financing most of the price. The 5.3L is different: a buyer who can borrow at the super prime average does better with the $6,500 below about $62,400 financed, and at the prime average below about $46,000. Seven of the nine 5.3L builds we priced, the cheapest of each trim, came in under $62,400. The line rises as the amount financed falls, and a buyer paying cash takes the cash.
Buyers looking at the 6.2L V8 should know about one open question. In August 2026, NHTSA opened an engineering analysis into about 998,000 GM trucks and SUVs with the 6.2L V8, model years 2021 through 2026, after engine failures continued on vehicles that had received GM's 2025 recall remedy. It is an investigation, not a recall, and it has not concluded. The window sticker shows which engine a truck has.
The Oracle take
The 5.3L is the one to check, and the offers page understates its cash. At $6,500, the cash outweighs five years of interest at the super prime average on most 5.3L trucks, so a buyer with strong credit financing one should price both routes. On the TurboMax, the 6.2L and the diesel, 0% is the stronger route for most buyers who finance. Pick the truck first, then the incentive: price it in Build & Price at your ZIP, set its full cash against five years of interest on your own bank or credit union quote, ask which other programs you qualify for, and take delivery by November 4. If the 2027's engines and interior are the reason you are shopping, price it before committing to the outgoing truck.
